Working with Wray & Associates

My experience at Wray & Associates during my 2L year was invaluable to both my professional and academic development. During my time at Wray & Associates, I was able to conduct extensive legal research, allowing me to develop necessary skills for practice that cannot be gained in a Legal Research course alone. I also assisted with trial preparation and motion drafting, which allowed me to see how lessons learned in courses like Civil Procedure and Evidence apply to the real-world practice of law. This experience allowed me to see what my career will truly look like outside of law school.

During my time at Wray & Associates, I saw a drastic improvement in my academic performance due to the hands-on experience and feedback I received. This experience translated into much stronger legal writing skills and improved my ability to read and comprehend case law. The ability to work from home and craft my own schedule, with the support of Russ Wray and everyone at Wray & Associates, allowed me to engage in challenging and meaningful work without sacrificing time for studying or extracurricular activities on campus.
